Bryan Steven Chaffin

Newark ~ Bryan Steven Chaffin, 18, a senior at Northwest High School, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, April 11, 2017 in Newark.

Memorial service is 11 a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Newark.

Brother Alan Six will officiate.

Bryan was born on December 24, 1998 to Willard and Celia (Zurita) Chaffin in Reynosa, Mexico.  He played football in middle school and high school.  Bryan loved music, and played the trombone in the marching band.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Newark.  Bryan was an avid video game player and wanted to design and develop games after graduation.  He was always making those around him laugh. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willard and Alice Charline Chaffin.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his parents, Willard and Celia Chaffin of Newark; his sisters, Debra Cruz and husband Santos of New Braunfels, and Regina Reeves and fiancé Rick Tennyson of Stephenville; his brother, Jeffery Chaffin and wife Tiffany of Cypress; his grandparents, Jacinto and wife Catalina Zurita of Mexico; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and a host of friends.
